Terms of Use

Effective 18 August 2026. Please read alongside our Privacy Policy.

If you're in crisis

FreeMan is not an emergency service and cannot respond in real time. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call NDLEA on the number shown at the top of every page, contact local emergency services, or go to the nearest hospital. Use Find nearest hospital any time you need it.

Acceptance

By using FreeMan, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. These terms may change from time to time; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

What FreeMan is — and isn't

FreeMan is a peer-support and educational tool from the Anti-Social Social Vices Club, ROYAL Ambassadors, Lagos East Baptist Conference (ASVC RALEBC) — daily check-ins, habit tracking, recovery guides, and a directory of nearby help.

It is not a medical, clinical, or therapeutic service, and it does not replace professional diagnosis, treatment, or counselling. Guide content is reviewed for accuracy but is educational in nature, not individualised medical advice.

Eligibility

FreeMan doesn't collect a name or age, and we don't run an age check. It's offered as a resource to the wider church community, which may include people under 18 — if that's you, please use it with a parent, guardian, or pastoral leader aware of how you're using it.

Your account and your data

By default, you use FreeMan anonymously — an on-device identity keeps your check-ins together without asking who you are. You may optionally link an email address to keep your history across devices. You're responsible for keeping access to that email; we can't recover a lost anonymous identity that was never linked to one.

You can permanently delete everything you've saved, at any time, from Settings. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail on what we collect and why.

Your content

Check-in notes are yours — written by you, for you, kept private to your account. Please don't include other people's private or sensitive information in a note. We don't read, moderate, or use check-in notes for any purpose beyond showing them back to you.

The help centre directory

Hospital, rehab, and NGO listings are provided in good faith for your convenience and reviewed periodically, but details like opening hours, contact numbers, or services offered can change without notice. Please confirm directly with a centre before relying on a listing, especially in an urgent situation.

Acceptable use

Please don't use FreeMan to harass or endanger others, impersonate someone else, attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the service, or submit anything unlawful. We may suspend access — most relevantly, admin accounts — for conduct that violates this.

Ownership

The FreeMan name, branding, and guide content belong to ASVC RALEBC unless otherwise credited. Scripture quotations belong to their respective sources and translations. Your own check-in notes remain yours.

No warranty, limitation of liability

FreeMan is provided as a volunteer-run ministry resource, “as is,” without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ASVC RALEBC is not liable for any harm arising from reliance on guide content, directory listings, or service interruptions. Nothing here limits liability that can't be excluded under Nigerian law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
